Re: Localization Support

How about posting the base text file so that anyone can grab it and start editing? It's a relatively small amount of text, even compared to other small indie games. This game could be set to completely text-free, and make it completely universal. Pause menu could be symbols, and the tutorial text re...

Re: direct purchase vanished?

For some reason, D2D won't complete the transaction, and I can't find any way around it, I think it's due to some country issues or something. The e-junkie page still loads for me though, can I still use that page? I would have used that one anyway, I want the linux version when it comes out. :)

Re: Multiplayer!

Hm, as for MP controls, a gamepad/joystick would be plenty for each player, and in implementing that, you'd have controls set for console ports. Point the joystick the direction you want to shoot, and press a button to fire. I can see plenty of interesting modes for multiplayer unique to the Osmos t...

Re: Awesome game!

I'm glad to hear Osmos is nowhere near finished, I can't wait to see the future of this game. New motes, new levels, (challenge level of the week? :D) And any other surprises you plan to bring our way.
Renboy, at least add your site to your profile? I'm curious.

Re: Love the game, one suggestion

I agree that the border is the largest barrier to complete immersion. perhaps a compromise is needed, make the border an environmental feature, rather than a HUD-like feature. Rock for bouncy walls, and something innately deadly to a mote for killing walls. this would make level design even more fun...

direct purchase vanished?

Strangely, it seems like the direct Hemisphere games purchase link, and the entire fact of purchasing directly has been thoroughly retconned. What's the dealio?

Mote absorbing mechanics

I've been playing around, and I've notices a bit of an odd quirk in the system. If you want to absorb a stationary mote, It's completely absorbed by you by the time you pass the original center of the prey. At that point, you should have only absorbed 3/4s of the mote, leaving the remaining quarter ...

Re: Physics suggestion

Do you mean, if you bump off the top wall, the entire box starts to move upwards, relative to the stationary motes? Interesting Idea,I can see how it would unbalance things though. as it moves up, the motes near the bottom will bunch up, and with two directions of movement, or a circular board, enou...

Re: First impressions

I would enjoy new personal mote themes, if you look at Hemisphere games' vimeo page, there's quite a few nifty experimental motes, I liked the one which makes the mote look like a jellyfish. An unlimited/survival mode would be fun, the border could gradually grow in proportion to the total mass, and...
