Re: Osmos Support

@eddybox,

Yeah, the last steam update definitely did fix the crashing I had on start up. If I come across anything else, I'll let you guys know, but so far it's working perfect. Great job!

Re: Osmos Support

Dave, Luckily I can play Osmos on my laptop just fine, but the weirdest thing is that it's also running Windows 7 x64 and it works just fine, no hangups anywhere whatsoever. Re: Osmos Support

Okay, so disabling sound through "nosound" lets the game run, but the sound would be nice. According to ALCapsViewer, my OpenAL32.dll version is 6.14.357.24.

Re: Osmos Support

For me, it's just crashing on startup. I tried all the other stuff and no dice. My laptop, also running Windows 7 x64, can play the game just fine with sound and everything, for some reason my desktop won't run it.

Re: Osmos Support

I already did that, as per the suggestions I saw in previous posts. I reinstalled OpenAL, updated my graphics drivers, even uninstalled then reinstalled from Steam. I'm really at a loss, and I know it's not Windows 7 because it will run on my laptop but not my desktop.

Re: Osmos Support

Hi, I just bought Osmos on Steam. Whether making it use fullscreen mode or not, it gets past "loading sounds..." and then maybe the Hemisphere Games logo will briefly flash in before the game crashes. System specs: AMD Athlon 64 X2 4800+ (@2.4 GHz) 4 GB DDR Ram Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe GeForce ...
