Re: won't start (iph)

Hi Helen, your mote carries momentum, so you need to use as much force to stop your mote as you used to get it started. In the first level, try tapping exactly once directly to the left of the mote. Your player will start to drift towards the right. Now tap exactly once to the right of the mote, you...

Re: Screen Freeze

Does this happen every time you play Osmos? Is there a particular point in the game where it freezes? Rather than fully deleting Osmos (and losing all your progress), you can often solve screen freezes by rebooting the iPod Touch. http://www.tuaw.com/2007/07/18/iphone-troubleshooting-how-to-restart-...

Re: Why NO High Resolution Icon For Osmos On Retina Display ?

Hi there Angry, we wanted to provide a high resolution icon for Osmos, but sadly Apple made us choose. We could either drop support OS2.x, or offer a high-res icon for Osmos. High-res icons are only available if you compile exclusively for OS3.x or higher. We decided it would be nice to let people w...

Re: won't start (iph)

Excellent. I was just about to propose restarting the phone. I've sadly found frozen apps to be a bit more common in iOS4.0 than iOS 3.2. Hopefully the stability improves a bit with the iOS 4.1 release.

Re: Extremely Annoyed!

Hi Anthony, I'm very sorry that you were caught by the authenticating proxy server bug. Obviously we want people to have as much fun playing Osmos as possible, and it would be very frustrating to lose all your progress. We are a very small team at Hemisphere Games (currently 3 active developers) and...

Re: Osmos game GONE from my ituned account ?.

Hi David, iTunes only shows "installed" on the buy button if the game is actually on your device. If you have previously purchased the game, but it is not on your iPad the button will read "buy". If you click the "buy" button again, iTunes will ask you for your password...

Re: Black Hole Sun Achievement

There are two ways to get this achievement.
The first is to finish the Odyssey, go to Arcade mode, and collapse the system in the third level of the Solar levels.
The second is to play the Attractor Absorb level in Odyssey, and collapse the system there.
Good luck.

Re: Precision 7/8

You're probably going too fast as you move from one orbit to the next. If you're going really fast as you get close to the next Attractor, you'll waste a lot of mass trying to slow down and control your mote. Try coasting up to the next Attractor as slowly as possible. After you've broken free of th...

Re: Precision 8/8

Tip #1. As with all Solar levels, it's important to always be traveling in an orbit. Fight too hard against gravity and you'll suddenly find yourself careening towards the Attractor or the edges of the Blobiverse. The extra challenge in Solar 8 is changing direction. Once you've collected as much ma...

Re: Is every level beatable?

As you say, given the random generation, we can't guarantee that every level is beatable. The most likely levels which might quickly degrade are the Repulsor levels, as the forces can quickly glom up all the matter before you've had a chance to blink. But, if you time warp down to slow motion right ...
