Re: Localization Support
Hi DrAcid, Thanks for all the info. I did get your mail, but time is tight right now, and my inbox is growing fast! ;-) Our initial plans are to do localizations to: French, German, Spanish and Italian. We'll definitely contact you though as soon as we're ready to move on from there. Thanks, :) Eddy

Re: Osmos demo, comments and suggestions
By the way, if you're wondering why this forum is now locked, it's because the "alpha" demo is about to become obsolete. New version coming your way in about a week! :) So head on over to the new thread to post about the "new" demo: http://www.hemispheregames.com/forum/viewforum....

Re: Very nice!!!
thanks blahblahblah,
it's true, we're taking some more time, but multiplayer would require *even more*. as you say, hopefully in a later patch, or on console at some point...
hopefully you'll like what we've done in the time we've had though!
cheers,
eddy

Re: Release?
Hi Dan,
Thanks for the feedback.
Our current target is for an August release. We're hard at it though, and I think we'll make it.
I'll post to the blog, the mailing list, the facebook page, etc. as things converge...
Cheers!
Eddy

Re: When????
It's true, early 2009 has come and gone. That was the plan before Osmos received the IGF nominations. Since that happened, we decided to put a bit more time and effort into it -- given the raised expectations and the motivation/morale boost! So at this point we're shooting for August. Wish us luck!

Thanks for the feedback Ghost Head, and agreed on both counts. Done and done. You'll have to wait for the beta to see them though...

Re: Artificial Life Imitates Art
Very cool, curiousepic, thanks! I also came across this video recently: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zaHLwla2WiI&feature=related The 2nd part -- "Water Droplets in a Bubble in a Sphere" (from 1:05 to 2:00) -- is especially familiar. ;-) Anyone else out there seen examples of Osmos-li...

Re: Very nice!!!
Thanks a lot udm -- great to hear!
As for multiplayer, I totally agree, but I don't think we'll be able to get it in for the PC release. (Too many architectural changes required.) But, as I've mentioned elsewhere, we have to leave something cool for a console version someday!
Cheers.
