Every multitouch gesture is working wonderfully with the exception of speed control. I've quit the application using the double tap quit, and reset my iPad to no avail. Any ideas?

Time-control is disabled for the first four levels of the Odyssey, and are only introduced in Solar 1. Perhaps you're trying to warp time on those levels?
