Separate purchase needed?

I didn't see this in the FAQ, so:

If I've already bought the PC version, do I need to buy the Android version separately?

I'm guessing I do, but just checking to be sure :)

Hi mjomble,

Welllll, we've put a lot of work into this version, and it's pretty different from the Win/Mac/Linux versions, so... yes, we're asking people to buy the Android version separately. This is also one of the reasons we launched with a sale: so fans who were waiting could pick it up at a reduced price.

Finally, there are new people involved (ie. getting a % of revenue) in this version, so we want to be fair to them as well.

Thanks,
Eddy

I bought the windows version, and liked it so much I bought the Android version right away! Some issues on my phone, but I'll enjoy having it with me at all times!

i was curious about the same, but my question has been answered and its entirely reasonable. It's cheap as is already.

FYI, the demo runs just fine on my Lenovo K1 on Android 3.2. No issues at all!

I spoke too soon.

I just got this error via email from the Android store.

Your order has been cancelled. Have questions? Contact Hemisphere Games.

Feb 19
Hemisphere Games has cancelled your order. You won't be charged.
Reason: Other (describe below)
Comments from Hemisphere Games: "Order canceled due to internal error in Market."

Feb 19
You placed an order with Hemisphere Games on Feb 19. Google Checkout sent a copy of this receipt to email

Any ideas? I've never actually purchased something via the Android store, so it might be a problem with my setup, but the only support links in the email point me back here.

Hey irony,

If your transaction is failing due to a Market error, you might want to try purchasing the game again after waiting a few hours (and/)or contacting Market support. All we can do is check the status of a transaction or cancel it. Their email address is android-market-support [at] google [dot] com, or you can get live help with the "talk to a specialist" feature which is fast and open 24/7: http://support.google.com/androidmarket/bin/request.py?contact_type=contact_policy&policy=apps.

Occasionally people will get this error and find themselves unable to download the game temporarily, but it clears up with a little time or Google support magic.

I'll admit, at first I didn't think it was fair, but your argument makes sense, new development costs can't just be absorbed. FYI I'm going to buy it for my phone right now, keep up the good work guys.
