Also, Windows XP supports at least four Xbox 360 controllers via DirectInput, and possibly up to sixteen via
the old joy* API functions. I'd imagine that the newer Windows/DX versions support at least that many
controllers, and they are very easy to interface with, so controls for a multiplayer via this method would
be quite easy to code. Also, in the local second-hand shops here in Leeds, Xbox 360 controllers are £5 to
£20 (~10 to ~35 USD), so the multiplayer setup for this would be quite cheap. It may also ease porting
of Osmos to the 360.

Or how about getting Osmos onto a platform meant for multi-player, like the Xbox 360? (sorry, had to point out another obvious reason for it...)

I find PC is still the nicest multiplayer platform... no need to pay for memberships, cheaper games, full support for mods, dedicated servers, consoles, etc...

although for osmos, most multiplayer gaming would probably be local on one machine, so 360 or PC/USBHID would work equally as well :)

Is there any specific time we could anticipate Osmos multiplayer mode to be implemented? Not an exact date, just an approximate... year?

2011? 2012? I can't wait!

Will it be just a free upgrade or a separate game to buy? I ache for answers! :)
