1.5.8 Just installed (Steam) - now I keep getting the menu

As for date for this patch, I'm still travelling, but I'll be back home the middle of next week, whereupon I'll have access to my dev machine. I'll deliver a patch to Steam asap and it will hopefully be up on Friday, Nov 6th.

Hi everyone,

This much-awaited patch is now up on Steam. The next time you play Osmos, clicking on the player will no longer bring up the menu.
For those of you who liked this feature, you can turn "mouse-only" controls back on in the controls menu in-game.

Actually, the Hemisphere version hasn't gotten the mouse-free update yet, so you should have never run into this problem in the first place. Can you double check please? And if it is happening, what version are you running? (It's the number in the lower right hand corner of the credits screen.)

ps. If you're wondering why we don't update all versions simultaneously, it's simply to minimize risk/damage-control. We stagger them: Hemi/Steam/Hemi/Steam/etc. We will update the Hemi version soon though.

I was using .57 I think it was. I just downloaded the .58 last night and it seems to have fixed the issue of the menu flashing on the screen all the time. I had stopped playing and was waiting for a patch, but I must have missed the .58 post somewhere.

A suggestion might be to make a thread that is dedicated for patches and patch information.
