Unfortunately there's no way to revert to a previous version with Steam.

Believe it or not, I've played Osmos a lot with this feature and haven't triggered the menu once. Usually the player mote isn't that big, and you can click anywhere else on the screen to propel yourself, not just near the player, so I find it easy to avoid. I realize I'm not a typical player though. It was added for the people asking for a keyboard-free play option, but it looks like it's bothering more people than it satisfied. It should have been optional... sorry.

In the meantime I'm on the road with a machine that I can't build a new Steam version on; and Dave's on honeymoon. But I'll update this as soon as I'm back to my usual dev machine.

Hey Eddy, it's good to hear from you. I hope you (or someone else) will be able to patch Osmos soon. I really miss playing it. In its current state, however, it's no fun at all, at least for me. I really wonder how you can play without triggering the menu all the time... It sure seems like I'm not the only one who can't.

hey jhead,

that sounds like a steam problem. are you getting that with other games on the service? if not, try uninstalling and reinstalling the game... hopefully that will fix it. (don't worry you won't lose your progress.)

and after a reinstall it still does not work.

i searched a bit with google. other players have the same problem.

What does that have to do with the annoying menu...

Also, is there a date for when this update will be fixed? I can't really play the game with this update.
