I purshaced the full version thru stream in Dec 2009. I Have it on my home PC and WorkPC. One is running Window 7 the other XP. They both worked fine until few weeks ago when they both stopped running. Now the game will not even launch. Help help..!

Hi Heliovex,

If you try launching osmos directly from C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\osmos rather than through the Steam client, are you met with any useful error messages?

Also, have you tried verifying your Steam cache files, as described here?

Hi,

I have the same issue. Bought and installed the game in January 2010. Played it till near completion. Since I have uninstalled it and reinstalled on Steam. Now the darn thing does not want to start up after the "Preparing to launche..." Steam dialog box. So what gives.

And yes, I did try the cache integrety option through the Properties.

Would love to play and finish the game.

Alrighty, problem resolved.

Had to reinstall OpenAl at http://connect.creativelabs.com/openal/Downloads/Forms/AllItems.aspx. Click on "oalinst" and tadaaa. "Open" the file to unzip the file (WinRAR or Winzip is required). Then double click on the .exe file to install OpenAl.

That did the job.
