I'm using the open source ones, I guess I should try Catalyst once more (removed it before since it was rather buggy on the desktop, maybe they've gotten better…)

Yes, give the drivers from ATI a whirl, kiwibird, and let us know how you get on!

Good luck,
Dave

On Ubuntu 10.04, there was no sound - but setting the soundDevice to "native" fixed it. It's flawless now.

Just got the full version and got a „issue b” just like in here. It's now running fine and seems that I can't reproduce.

Freezed again. Osmos.log looks like that:

thank you for the Linux port and support. The game is running fine on Archlinux and Nvidia. It freezes sometime, but not very often, so I'm very happy to play it :)

It's a refreshing and peaceful game to play...

Hi,

I just downloaded the demo and it worked fine - awesome game btw =)
So i purchased the full version and started downloading the .deb-package for my Ubuntu 10.04.
Now, if i run the deb, it says the package may be damaged and i don't have the rights to open it - but i definitly have.
I downloaded it one more time - the same problem. Im running out of attempts ;)
Im a little puzzled cause the demo worked.
Do you have any idea?

Hope you can help me!

@ Vadi: glad to hear it! Enjoy. ;-)

@ lazy_bum: your log indicates the game is freezing on graphics context switch. A few folks have been reporting this issue... it'd be fab if there was some way to nail a repro. Can you tell if this happens during e.g. desktop notifications, post laptop hibernate, etc etc?

@ macetux: sounds like your download is aborting before its complete. How big is the .deb that you're trying to open on disk?

Thanks,
Dave

Hi Meal Worms,

the .deb is 16MB, exactly 16743984 Bytes big. Is that to small?

Thanks for help!

Hi macetux,

The .deb should be 19.5 MB (roughly 20 million bytes). Seems like the entire .deb is not downloaded.

The graphics context switch seems to be my vsync on/off in the options. It also seems to freeze without changing vsync option. I use KDE4, but it isn't related to any notifications (don't have any IMs or whatever to notify me ;). That's a desktop computer, so it's not a hibernation issue.

And it freezed for me on three different levels, so no idea how could I reproduce. \:

Had a freeze just now right after entering a level. ):
