Hi HOD,

I must admit to being puzzled about what exactly is happening on your machine -- the Linux binary has no support for D3D!

That's because (as I posted earlier) I'm using Windows XP (SP3).

With the default settings (as installed via Impulse) the game takes >10 minutes before you can even get to the options; it renders so slowly.

Now I've found the config file, I have switched to D3D and it works fine.

Hi HOD,

Oh, you're running XP! Haha, okay, that makes more sense. In which case, it sounds like Eee's GL drivers in windows are not up to snuff -- and frankly I'm not surprised D3D performs better, because hardware manufacturers will tend to optimise their drivers for D3D because that's where the market is in PC gaming.

In any case, glad the game is running smoothly for you!

Enjoy,
Dave
