Font problem on linux with recent freetype

Hi.
First, I would like to say thanks for the linux port. At last, we can play great game on linux. I purchase Osmos through HIB2
But at first, I got a very bad experience with the game because I got no text displayed. I was able to find that the FortuneCity was the problem

so the bug report, if I have to call it like that is:
With recent freetype version, the font FortuneCity included with Osmos 1.6 will not load.
