There is very cool games Elite like. You have to fly in 3d spase combat and trade. Beyond the frontier, Elite. Olsow there is 2d games Elite like colled Flat Space http://www.lostinflatspace.com/. But in FlatSpace combat part of the game is very primitive. Game use only one axe from two mouse axis (rigth - left move). No gravity.
What if add to Osmos a trade part and big univerce, with combat modell with shooting (with right mouse button from the same place jet stream is from) ? It is not so hard to do, but the game will be mutch more cooller.

Yikes! That's a seriously obscure connection to the old Elite trading game... . Although Elite definitely had it's time, i find it hard to imagine how Hemisphere would (could) extend Osmos into that sort of game play? Better drag out the old Amiga and just stick to the original??
