Thanks Dave!
My day is saved.
Although an option inside the game would be nice.

language setting
Hi guys! Thanks for the update, but there is one crucial suggestion: Please please please don't ever write software that auto-detects your language settings and has no option to revert it back to English! I am a native German speaker, but I prefer my games, movies, books etc. in their original langu...

Re: Osmos Suggestions, Improvements & Wishlists
I love the open scripting idea. This could mean that the developers lose the ability to release addons oder follow-up versions of the game, since they wouldn't be able to charge for what the users do... In any case, it would be fun to be able to code myself, create code classes that people could use...

Re: Big problem - no "save/reload level" for multi user
Mmmkay.
So... are the game infos stored in the .STA files or in the .SCO file?
SCO seems to be the playlist for the music titles... but I can't decrypt the .STA, which seem to be game state saved somethingsomething.
Help the noob, I just want to play the damn inifinty levels already

Wouldn't that mess up STEAM achievements?
Just trying to figure out how stats are coded so I can hack the last level... and back.

Re: Osmos Suggestions, Improvements & Wishlists
I've been thinking about level design... I like the force levels the most, but they're the hardest also. Still stuck on the last one, even after the update (what exactly are the changes...?). I got as far as being able to pick up all the attractors, but I end up in an unconvenient orbit with all the...

Re: Osmos Suggestions, Improvements & Wishlists
How about a mote state change? Example: Press a button or pick something up that makes your shell hard temporarily so you can bump into (larger?) motes to fling them away. Mentioned this before, but for order's sake posting it again: Maybe add a mote crash-system and tweaking the momentum calculatio...

Re: Mote absorbing mechanics
I noticed that vector addition for two motes melting isn't quite as I had expected. Say you hit a mote head-on: it will get a backwards velocity. Now if you hit a mote just barely: it will get a backwards velocity. That's not quite correct as firstly it should have an equivalent new velocty to the a...

Re: Osmos Feedback
Well guys, you did a good job. I'm loving the game. Ever since I discovered the first rudimentary orbital simulations (like the planet simulator mentioned in another thread or gravity by gasgames) I wanted to do more stuff with gravity. Here's my flimsy and buggy try at gravity in flash from a few y...
