Sound on iPad gone

I have recently experienced the sound missing on my game.
I had thought that perhaps it was the headphone jack. It is not. I have plugged in the headphones and do not hear anything.
I have checked the settings. Still no sound.
I have also checked to see if there are any updates. None.
I have synced the iPad (because sometimes that fixes other applications that are buggy) this did not work.
I have done everything but uninstall, due to how far I have gotten in both Odeyssey and Arcade, I do not wish to have to start over.
Is there something I have missed?

I would like to add that when turning on the game - the Hemisphere logo and the "best with headphones" screens no longer appear.

Hi Frau,

Not sure why this is happening, but a good thing to try would be to fully restart Osmos. (It's running from the cache, which is why you don't see the splash screens.)

To remove Osmos from the cache: double-tap on the home button; touch and hold the Osmos icon in the cache browser; then tap the minus-sign that appears. Tap the home button again to exit the cache browser and try running Osmos again.

I have the same problem.
After Osmos was reboot the problem was unresolved
And after iPad was reboot to problem still appear.
How I may solve this problem?

I have a new iPad 3. And I can't get the sound to come on in the game. I have tried everything in the post so far; turning the ipad off and on again, clearing out the cache of music player and osmos, but nothing seems to work

Do you have any more ideas to resolve the issue or will it need a software update to solve?

Hi guys,

To be honest, we don't know what's causing this yet, as we haven't been able to reproduce the problem. I got an iPad3 and the sound is working fine, both with and without headphones (running the store version).

Rick, if you could answer these questions it'd help us track the issue down:
- Was the sound ever working for you in the game, or did it stop working at some point?
- Does this apply to both with and without headphones?
- Is there anything special/unique about your iPad's configuration settings? (Are you running factory defaults for stuff other than brightness, etc.)
- Does sound work in other games?
- After rebooting your iPad, is running Osmos the first thing you did?
- If all else fails, does deleting Osmos, rebooting your iPad, and re-installing from the store help?

Issue solved

Turns out that the switch on the side of the iPad had been knocked on and it had turned off sound in all games but not in the music player
