Game Start as Well

well i just purchased this game, and i am having the same problem as a few others i suppose, I load up the game, then the loading sounds comes on, and then it pretty much craps out right there, it just runs so slowly there is no way to get to the menu even, i have checked my computer and everything is running fine, and steam is running fine, so i am wondering what the problem is then with the game i suppose, and how can this be fixed?

You've probably read this elsewhere, but can you please verify your motherboard, soundcard and video drivers are up-to-date? Also, can you please post the contents of your Osmos.log to this thread (it's in the Osmos directory of your Documents folder).

yeah all of my stuff is up to date, it has been, the game just isn't working and here is the log.

the card i am using is the ATI x1600 Pro. Oldie but goodie. and everything is up to date with it.

The OpenGL implementation on ATI drivers is notoriously bad. Double-check your driver is up to date, and if so, you may want to try an alternate driver (this has worked well for others) as described in our FAQ: http://www.hemispheregames.com/faq/#tech_hotrod
