Unfortunately I can't view your screenshot (403 -- Forbidden), but what you're describing sounds like a video driver bug. Can you please verify you have the latest drivers for your graphics card and motherboard?

Totally agree with you.
I'd report this to xserver-xorg-video-intel developers if I could translate it to their language (probably something like "off-by-one error causes texture blits to show 1px border on OpenGl 2.1 mode" or so). Alas, this will require test program that will prove that the problem is on their end and it's hard to write one without Osmos source code
